Tara has been an elite athlete for most of her life, competing in club soccer, volleyball,
figure and body building. She graduated from the NAIT Personal Fitness Trainer Program
in April 2005. While at NAIT, Tara also took a position on the Women’s NAIT Soccer Team.
 With her leadership skills, dynamic knowledge of the sport and ability to motivate, during
 her second season she assumed the position of team captain as well as the role of the athletic
trainer for the team. Since then Tara has also accepted the position of the athletic trainer and
fitness coach with the Canadian Women’s National U23 Rugby Team for their 2005 preseason training.

Understanding the high demands for personal training, Tara developed her own consulting business; Optimum Performance & Lifestyle. Optimum Performance & Lifestyle specializes in sports performance training. Tara incorporates nutritional counseling as an important component of all her consulting work. Whether it is providing personalized one on one training, or sport specific training in plyometrics, agility and conditioning. 

Tara is a great motivator and constantly demands results from herself her clients and her students. As a natural leader, Tara consistently urges and encourages her clients and students to do their best to succeed. She is a dependable trainer and friend. With her personal commitment and dynamic personality, she gains the respect and admiration of her clients, students and colleagues. Tara is a respected and resilient trainer and athlete who is always there in mind and body to encourage and support her clients, students and teammates.
